Lionel Stitchie

Wisconsin-based fiber artistMolly Evans, put some lionel love out with her  street art project. Armed with yellow yarn and a tag gun, she stitched snippets of Richie’s famous lyrics onto discarded pieces of furniture that she found on the streets.

ok. so. these photos are really crappy. but it was the best i could do, my choices for a backdrop were either black or grey, neither of which really suit themselves to photographing these but, you know whatever. I was just really excited to post this because it’s my biggest crochet sculpture yet!! woo hoo!! it didn’t go exactly as planned because I popped the weatherballoon on accident…. but this is what I have and I think I’m still pretty happy with it - the smaller pod that is on the inside was the largest pod i had made before this one. The first photo is just for size reference.
